日本の高等教育はグローバル化に直面し、留学生が増加するなど、文化的・教育的背景の異なる学生が混在する状況になっています。国際的な環境で学ぶことで、さまざまな課題にも直面します。すなわち、研究や日常生活、または授業や研究室といった場所で、誰もが異なる文化の人々と交流しなければならないという課題です。また、海外の研究者との共同研究において、より良い関係性を構築したい、もっと効果的な協働をしたい、文化的誤解が生じるのを避けたいといった人もいるでしょう。
このワークショップでは、効果的な異文化コミュニケーションスキルを身に付け、異文化を理解する上で注意しなければならないポイントや学生が抱える共通の問題（カルチャーショックなど）等の取り扱い方法を学びます。参加者が抱える実際の悩み等についても議論しながら解決策を探ります。
We are happy to announce that our latest workshop on teaching and researching in English is now ready for your application!
Higher education in Japan has been facing a growing need to globalize. An increasing number of overseas students who are of diverse cultural and educational backgrounds are now studying together. In a global environment, everyone will face a variety of challenges including the necessity to communicate with people of different cultural backgrounds in your research activities, daily life, classrooms, and laboratories. Some of you may be concerned about how to build a prime relationship with overseas collaborators to improve the efficiency of your joint research projects without causing a cultural misunderstanding.
This workshop helps you acquire effective skills at cross-cultural communication and gives you tips about appreciating different cultures and dealing with typical issues students may encounter (e.g., a culture shock). We will also discuss and explore the solutions for the problems the participants have.
